Military historian Peter Spring talks about Military Service Medals

One FM fill-in breakfast announcer Peter D. talks to Military historian Peter Spring. Peter talks about Military Service Medals from the First World War, their meaning and reasons for being awarded.
Mr. Spring will be hosting an information session to increase understanding of Military Service Medals from the First and Second World War, the day following ANZAC Day. Families are encouraged to keep their family members’ medals out of their cases for an extra day and bring them along to find out more about their history.
Peter will visit Numurkah Library at 10.30am and Mooroopna Library at 3pm on April 26th, the day after ANZAC Day.
For those interested in specific information about medals they may have inherited from a family member, Peter welcomes the public to bring in the medals to have them identified and explained.
